I did the at-home test with my last pregnancy at 11/12 weeks (can't remember exactly), but it was much farther than 8 weeks. Yeah Im not taking this seriously then. Lol everyone I know has a boy and a girl or at least one of the other Im just over here sad that I might never have a son and same for the people who might not have a daughter. haha this is me. But it left me still guessing. Fast forward to 11 weeks we do the NIPT screening and results come back that baby is actually a BOY! All my best to you, I know how you feel.. If it shows boy, I will assume boy but wait to announce until the 20 week ultrasound, just because there's so much possibility for contamination, even following the directions. Girls are less likely to give a false positive! I wanted to confirm what the geneticist had gathered (regarding gender) before I told my parents.
